Our mission is to help you get better at sewing and support your journey along the way! At Topstitch Makers you are not alone as you learn and grow your sewing practice. Here you will connect with fellow sewists, improve your sewing skills through monthly themes, sewalongs, live talks, sewcial sesssions, courses and you'll become part of a thriving online indie garment sewing community through this dynamic collaborative engagement.
Our live sessions are currently over zoom so you can attend no matter where you live, if the time suits your schedule! Most will only require fabric, a pattern and basic sewing supplies. Talks, Sewcial sessions, access to additional courses are part of the general community membership.
Live instructor guided Sewalongs and Workshops are part of the second tier membership plan which includes the general community + sewalongs and workshops.
Our sewalongs are not recorded but intended to be live and done together.
We also have live sewing intensive courses (live over zoom) for additional purchase as well as studio recorded courses for additional purchase. In the past we have done a live Jeans Series, Capsule Wardrobe Series and Activewear Series, to name a few.
We will update this page soon with our next sewing intensive.
Our online recorded courses include: Intro to Sewing - Sewing 101 -The Essential Shirt; Beginner Essentials - Hand Sewing and Seam Finishes; and Intro to Sergers. Check out a preview of our shirt course!
You can purchase these courses anytime and take them at your own pace.
To learn, share and be part of a thriving, engaging sewing community that supports your sewing journey!
Take it from our members, it's a fantastic place to be!
